This is how Dido Sotiriou describes in her novel “Farewell Anatolia” the village Kirkintze (in turkish, Sirince), and this is one of the many images I had in my mind as a child, reading books and listening to stories from my own people coming from the coast of Ionia. Memories and nostalgia that led me this summer to decide to make the trip and visualize it with my camera, passing them from my memory to the real picture of the memory card and to their present status.

Mission Accomplished: Skyros Island, Photo Workshop May 2018

Our recent trip to Skyros, our latest photography workshop, was, as expected, highly successful. For four days, together with eight fellow amateur photographers from every possible corner of the planet (Australia, Canada, America and Sweden), we explored and photographed this beautiful island, learned about its history and folklore, shot beautiful traditional crafts, tasted local delicacies. Photographicaly, we worked with a plethora of lighting conditions and themes, we talked about many secrets and tricks of Travel photography and Landscape photography, we proceeded to more specialized areas such as Architectural photography, Astrophotography and Animal Photography.
